What are lash extensions?
Lash Extensions are individual synthetic fibers made to replicate a natural eyelash. When applied, eyelash extensions give the illusion of a lengthened, thickened natural lash. Single strands are adhered to each individual natural lash. When applied correctly, lash extensions should not be noticeable.

Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly, lash extensions can actually help your natural lashes grow stronger! We have many clients that have had lashes for several years, and their natural lashes are as healthy as the day the extensions were applied. If done incorrectly, extensions can be extremely damaging, and even dangerous. Please do your research when looking for a certified, reputable artist. Ask for licensing, certifications, and photos of work. In this business, you get what you pay for!
Is getting them applied uncomfortable?
No! You will lie on a heated, fluffy bed, and keep your eyes closed until your lash artist is finished. Sounds horrible, right? 😉 Several clients sleep through their appointments.

How long do they last?
Depending on the natural growth cycle of your natural lashes, extensions will last about 2-4 weeks. We recommend coming in for touch ups every 2-3!

Can I wear mascara?
Lash extensions are designed so you do not have a need for mascara. Makeup and mascara in specific can be devastating to the longevity of your extensions. We want you to get the most out of your investment, therefore we do not recommend mascara.
Are they waterproof?
Yes! After 24 hours, the adhesive will be completely cured. Feel free to swim, shower, & exercise as normal! Heat and steam can be damaging to extensions, making them prematurely fall off or lose their curl. Please be mindful of heat near your face!
How do I take care of them?
1. Avoid getting new lashes wet for 24 hours.
2. Cleanse lashes daily using an approved lash cleanser. We love Bella Lash Lash Detox!
3. Do not curl lashes or use mascara.
4. Avoid any oil based products or waterproof makeup.
5. Brush lashes daily! (Everyone’s favorite part!)
6. Do not tug, pull, or pick at your lashes.
What happens if I want them removed?
Make an appointment online for a removal. This is a simple process and should take no longer than 15 minutes. In rare cases, we have seen lashes gone horribly wrong. This removal process will take much longer when it is not our work and excess adhesive is used.

Do they hurt?
No! When applied correctly, you shouldn’t ever be able to feel the extensions on your eyes. When applied incorrectly, extensions can be extremely painful. Again, please do your research when choosing an artist.

How long does it take?
The initial appointment can take anywhere from 1.5-3 hours. Depending on how many natural lashes you have, and the look you are trying to achieve, the time will vary. Touch up fill appointments typically take 1-1.5 hours.

My natural lashes are falling out!
This is normal! Your lashes grow in a growth cycle, just like the hair on our heads. Natural lashes shed, and it is more apparent when there is an extension attached to it. If lashes are painful, and they are falling out, this can be dangerous. If it doesn’t feel right, its probably not!

Will I be allergic?
It is rare to be allergic to lash extensions! Depending on the adhesive used, reactions can vary depending on the client. There are lots of factors that pertain to allergic reactions, so just because you’ve been allergic once doesn’t mean you always will. Allergies and sensitivities are very different. Let your lash artist know the symptoms you have been experiencing, and we can further assist you.
